The mainstay colours in my wardrobe, regardless of season, tend to be a mix of charcoals, greens and neutrals with some on trend colours thrown into the mix to tie everything together. I'm also a huge fan of basic garments. Basic in the sense that they just look effortlessly cool because they are wardrobe staples that just so happen to be tailored and/or made perfectly.
After perusing my bookmark list lovingly entitled 'Retail Therapy,' I picked a few items that caught my eye that are perfect for the SS/AW transition. You know? That period of time where it's not quite warm enough for the summer get-up, but not cool enough to reach for the wool trench. That and the fact that I just want them. You'll see what I mean. On we go.
Milano Knit T-Shirt in 'Carbone' - The Kooples - £125
I adore this charcoal tee from premium brand, The Kooples. I just think that it has such an effortless style to it and you really can't go wrong with a contrast-sleeve tee.
Two-Tone Leather Shopper in 'Beige' - & Other Stories - £125
During the day, it is actually impossible for me to sport a clutch and have enough space for everything that I THINK I need in it so I tend to reach for roomier options most of the time. This beautiful and ultra chic shopper from & Other Stories is just perfect with the soft nude shade against the matte leather. Adore it.
Classic Crew - Stylemint.com - $29.99
You have no idea how many 'classic white tee's' I've tried on in my lifetime. So many, honestly, it's not even funny. I've always been after the 'perfect' white tee. It has to be cotton so that its soft but still holds its shape, not too transparent but not too rigid either. I think that this classic crew neck white tee from www.stylemint.com essentially sums up all of the qualities I want from a basic white tee.
Pretty Polly Naturals 8D Sandal Toe Tight - mytights.com - £5.00
For those of us who aren't fortunate to have perfect, impeccable pins, a good nude tight is always a smart option. I love these ones from Pretty Polly because they just give the perfect amount of coverage for legs that have the odd blemish or two but still feel comfortable. I rarely wear dresses but when I do, you can bet I'll be sporting a pair of these miracle-workers.
Leather Court Shoe - Zara - £49.99
I don't really have to say too much to about these shoes other than they are obviously divine.
What trends are you most looking forward to this Autumn/Winter? Personally, I am super happy that camo is coming back. I know that a few fashionista's feel as though camo's had its time during SS but I don't think you can ever have enough camo moments.
